Paris, Sooners blow out N. Colorado
Courtney Paris had 20 points and 13 rebounds – her 37th straight double-double – as the Sooners routed Northern Colorado 82-36 on Sunday.
The Sooners extended their regular-season winning streak to 23 games, the longest in NCAA Division I.
Oklahoma (9-0) held Northern Colorado (2-8) of the Big Sky Conference to 22 percent shooting.
Amanda Thompson came off the bench to score 12 points for Oklahoma, while Leah Rush and Erin Higgins added 11 points each.
(5) Tennessee 67, (23) Texas 46: At Austin, Texas, Sidney Spencer scored 15 points and the Lady Vols (9-1) shook off poor shooting in the first half with a scoring burst early in the second for a win over the Longhorns (7-3).
Freshman guard Brittainey Raven scored 15 to lead Texas.
(7) LSU 65, (18) Michigan St. 50: At East Lansing, Mich., Quianna Chaney had 24 point to lead the Lady Tigers (11-1) over the Spartans (7-2).
Victoria Lucas-Perry led Michigan State with 18 points.
(9) Baylor 83, UCLA 70: At Los Angeles, Jessica Morrow scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Bears (11-1) to a victory over the Bruins (6-6).
Bernice Mosby added 20 points for the Bears.
Noelle Quinn scored 19 points for UCLA.
(11) Georgia 80, TCU 58: At Athens, Ga., freshman Angel Robinson came off the bench to score 18 points and the Lady Bulldogs (9-1) defeated the Lady Frogs (6-4).
Cori Chambers scored 16 for Georgia.
The Lady Frogs got 14 points apiece from Adrianne Ross, Ashley Davis and Hanna Biernacka.
(12) Vanderbilt 76, South Florida 68: At Tampa, Fla., Liz Sherwood scored 19 points, leading the Commodores (9-1) past the Bulls (8-2).
Carla Thomas had 18 for Vanderbilt.
Jessica Dickson had 23 points for South Florida. The Bulls struggled at the foul line, making 14 of 31.
(17) DePaul 74, Illinois-Chicago 65: At Chicago, Allie Quigley had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists to help the Blue Demons (9-1) win over the Flames (5-6).
Krystal Hugelier had 24 points, 18 from behind the 3-point line, for UIC.
