Shake that thang

» The Inland Northwest Bluegrass Association will host its next Saturday Night Bluegrass Thang tonight at 7 at Trent Elementary, 3303 N. Pines Road. The events are held once a month and feature local bluegrass performers and bands, so the lineup changes. This month's performers are Redwing, Frank's Kids, Jackie McIntyre and Wide River, DFI and Five Old Daves.

» So swing on over to the school for an evening of music. Admission is $5.

Christmas concert

» If you're looking for a more Christmas-themed musical event, check out the Clarion Brass Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines Road. Guest performers will include drummer Michael Moon Bear and mezzo soprano Heather Peterson. Admission is $15; $10 for seniors and students. All together now: "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas…"
