Duncan, Spurs top Bobcats

Tim Duncan shook off a slow start to score 25 points and the San Antonio Spurs avenged a surprising home loss to Charlotte with a 96-76 win over the Bobcats Wednesday night in Charlotte, N.C.

Sean May scored 18 points to lead the Bobcats, who have yet to win consecutive games this season.

Rookie Adam Morrison continued to struggle, scoring four points on 1-of-10 shooting. He’s 2 for 15 from the field in the past two games.

Bucks 102, Trail Blazers 94 (OT): At Milwaukee, Michael Redd scored 33 to help the Bucks beat Portland in overtime.

Cavaliers 95, Raptors 91: At Cleveland, LeBron James scored 26 points and did everything Cleveland needed him to in the final minutes, rallying the Cavaliers to a win over Toronto.

Pacers 94, Magic 80: At Indianapolis, Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington each scored 26 points to lead Indiana over Orlando.

Wizards 113, Knicks 102: At New York, Gilbert Arenas scored 38 points and Washington hit 14 of 20 3-pointers to beat the Knicks for its first road win of the season.

Grizzlies 98, Celtics 96: At Boston, Rudy Gay’s jumper with 2.6 seconds left lifted Memphis to a win over the Celtics.

Timberwolves 90, Rockets 84: At Minneapolis, Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead Minnesota past Houston.

Hornets 105, Lakers 89: At Los Angeles, Chris Paul had 26 points and 11 rebounds, Rasual Butler added 22 points and New Orleans beat the Lakers to snap its season-high, five-game losing streak.

Bulls 121, 76ers 94: At Chicago, Ben Gordon scored 17 of his 31 points in the first quarter and the Bulls beat Philadelphia.

Hawks 98, Nuggets 96: At Denver, Joe Johnson scored 27 points and Shelden Williams hit two free throws with 5 seconds left to lead Atlanta past the Nuggets.

Seattle guard Ray Allen has a bruised bone in his right ankle and will meet with doctors today to determine when he will be able to play. An MRI revealed the contusion. It was originally thought to be a strained tendon in his right foot. … A judge ordered a Feb. 12 trial for Indiana Pacers guard Stephen Jackson, who faces charges after allegedly firing a gun during a fight outside a strip club. … Sacramento Kings forward Maurice Taylor was suspended five games by the NBA for violating terms of the anti-drug program. Taylor has been suspended twice previously for substance abuse violations.
