Nursery Volunteers – Vanessa Behan is looking for volunteers, 18 and older, to work with children who are at risk for child abuse or neglect. Volunteers will provide one-on-one interaction with children, playing, reading, feeding, comforting and encouraging them. Must have some experience with children and be willing to make a six-month commitment of three hours per week. Screening required and training provided. Call 535-3155.

Epilepsy Foundation Northwest Annual Walk – Volunteers are needed June 17 to post fliers, set-up and take down signs and help with registration for the walk. People of all ages are encouraged to volunteer and children are welcome if accompanied by adults. Call Sharon at 325-1128.

Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture - ArtFest 2006 – The MAC is seeking volunteers to assist with ArtFest June 2-4 in Coeur d’Alene Park in Browne’s Addition; all are welcome, students are encouraged; contact David Brum at 456-3931.

Musicfest Northwest – Volunteers are needed to organize and conduct this festival to be held in May. Duties may include data entry, filing, bulk mailing and delivering bulletins. Call Sally Dotson at 448-8726.

Receptionist – Cancer Patient Care – A volunteer is needed to provide reception duties at Cancer Patient Care. Must have a welcoming attitude, greet patients and answer phones; must sign volunteer agreement and have background check; call Pam Goforth at 456-0446.

Corbin Senior Center Boutique – Corbin Senior Center is seeking volunteers to work at the boutique; shifts are 9 a.m.-noon or and noon-3 p.m.; volunteers receive, sort, display and sell items; training provided; call Christa at 354-2967.

Holmes Elementary Washington Reading Corps – Literacy tutors are needed for students who are struggling with reading; must pass Washington state background check; confidentiality required; call Angela at 354-2967.

Morningstar Boys Ranch – Volunteers families are needed to become part of “friendship family,” a program designed to provide boys the experience of healthy family interactions; families will be teamed with a Morningstar social worker; all family members must go through training program; contact Barbour at 448-1099.

Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp 2006 – Volunteers are needed to serve as camp counselors, medical staff, water safety instructors and activity coordinators.
