Vallies became the second GSL pitcher to reach 10 wins. Maggie Capwell went 3 for 4 with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored to lead the Indians (10-4). … Mickenzie Aldan and Emily Anderson each had two-run home runs for Central Valley in a 9-4 win at West Valley (2-12). •Great Northern League: Tyler Owens hit the game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the seventh, and Medical Lake came from behind to defeat visiting Chewelah 7-6. Brad Palmer batted in the game-tying run with a double in the seventh and finished the game with two RBIs. Anthony Jorgenson chipped in three RBIs, including a two-run homer for the Cardinals (9-4), and Casey Christianson had three RBIs for the Cougars (2-11).
Boys soccer
•Great Northern League: Brandon Robo scored the game-winning goal after Justin Linafelter’s breakaway shot was saved in Medical Lake’s 3-2 overtime win over visiting Colville (2-12, 1-9). Linafelter scored with a goal 4 minutes into the game, then assisted on the next two goals for Medical Lake (5-8, 5-5). … Evan McCain scored twice as Pullman registered a 5-2 win over host Chewelah (0-11, 0-10). Kevin Volkening recorded the shutout for the Greyhounds (12-0, 9-0). … Riverside’s match at Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) was postponed because the officials didn’t show. No makeup date has been set.
