GSL soccer provides another memorable product:

“It isn’t over until it’s over. Friday’s Central Valley at East Valley match will likely determine the champion. The Knights lead by a point, but Ferris and Mead remained in contention entering the week.

“Seven teams showed the ability to contend for the title.

“Three of the GSL’s top teams are Class 3A schools: EV, Cheney and North Central.

“Going into the final week, 10 matches had been decided by shootout. Mead won three and also had two overtime wins. NC won two shootouts. CV and University were both 1-2 and Lewis and Clark was 0-3 in games decided by penalty kicks.

“A total of 27 matches out of 77, were decided by one goal.
