Volunteers’ help sought at KSPS-TV

KSPS Public Television needs volunteers to answer telephones and record pledges of support during its on-air membership campaigns.

It is looking for clubs, businesses, organizations, sports teams, civic groups, committees or church groups of 18 to 24 volunteers to work a five to six-hour shift. Weeknight and weekend dates with afternoon and evening shifts are offered.

Volunteers are provided snacks, beverages and socializing time because they work only during the breaks. Anyone at least 16, with a good sense of humor, good hearing and good penmanship is welcome.

Volunteers are acknowledged and thanked at the end of each break in programming, in the monthly program guide Prevue, and through an on-air thank-you graphic.

Group coordinators are asked to call Shawn Claypool at 354-7724 for more information on times and dates for upcoming campaigns or send e-mail to shawnc@ksps.org.
