Suspect charged with intimidation
A robbery suspect arrested earlier this week for stealing a man’s hooded sweatshirt was charged with intimidating a witness Tuesday, after a detective learned the suspect allegedly had threatened to shoot the victim.
Jeremy Alan Lee, 25, was apparently overheard saying “things would have been different if he’d had his gun during the robbery, and he should track down the robbery victim and ‘fix’ him,” Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan said.
Lee and Jared W. Montgomery, both of Spokane, were arrested Sunday when a man said the pair had forcibly taken his sweatshirt from him at Miller’s One Stop on North Newport Highway, Reagan said. While Lee and Montgomery were being booked at Spokane County Jail, Lee allegedly made the statement about fixing the robbery victim to Montgomery.
A detective reviewed the arrest reports and determined there was probable cause to charge Lee with intimidating a witness, Reagan said.
