Spokane’s annual Arbor Day Celebration is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Finch Arboretum, 3404 W. 21st Ave. (at the intersection of F Street and Sunset Highway). Arbor Day activities are free and take place rain or shine.

They will be on hand at various hands-on stations to help you get started and answer your questions.

You must be registered by 1:30 p.m. to complete all of the compost fair stations (takes about 45 minutes).

The composting event is free and open to all, but free compost bins are limited to Spokane County residents, with one bin per household.
