Bird Fest starts Monday
Next week will go to the birds at the West Valley Outdoor Learning Center.
Several activities about birds are planned from Monday through Friday at the learning center, with a special day of activities beginning at 8 a.m. May 6.
Families are invited to the center Saturday to watch birds, go on a scavenger hunt, enjoy lunch and dissect an owl pellet. Local birding experts will be on hand to discuss various fowl.
Activities during the week include:
“Monday: learn to bird class, first of three, sponsored by Spokane Audubon Society, 6:30-9 p.m.
“Wednesday: learn to bird class 2, 6:30-9 p.m.
“Next Thursday: “Winged Migration” movie, 7-8:30 p.m.
“May 5: learn to bird class 3, 6:30-9 p.m.
