Will we think less of Maury?
A lawsuit teeming with tawdry details you definitely won’t be seeing on the next “Maury” accuses talk-show host Maury Povich of cheating on his TV newswoman wife Connie Chung with an underling.
The bombshell legal filing claims Povich, 67, has been tangled in a “long time, intimate and sexual relationship” with 47-year-old producer Donna Ingber – and calls the talk show set a “Peyton Place” rife with porn and booze.
In the $100 million suit, Bianca Nardi, a 28-year-old producer who has been with the show since 2000, claims executive producer Paul Faulhaber ordered her to wear short skirts and low-cut blouses, watch porn videos in the office and take off her shirt for a video crew.
Nardi also says she had an unfairly heavy workload because she covered for Ingber, who received special treatment because of her relationship with Povich.
Povich and Chung declined comment, but a show spokesman denied the harassment claims.
We’ll see how downloaded she is
Cindy Margolis, known as the “Most Downloaded Woman” on the Internet, has decided to bare all for Playboy.
The former “Price is Right” model says she finally agreed to pose nude when the magazine called on her 40th birthday.
“You’re not dead just because you are married and have children,” the mother of three says, adding: “It will be fun to go up against the 20-year-olds and show them that they don’t have anything on me.”
Time for a Paula apology
“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest says he and judge Paula Abdul aren’t speaking, but Abdul calls reports of a feud “ridiculous.”
“I don’t know what the deal is. It’s very awkward,” Seacrest says of his relationship with Abdul in People magazine.
There could be reasons for that. In a “Tonight Show” appearance last month, when host Jay Leno joked about Abdul’s “loopy” behavior, Seacrest said: “Well, have you listened to her album?”
And when Leno playfully asked whether Abdul had been drinking alcohol, Seacrest replied: “Hey look, I don’t look in their cups to see what’s sitting before them on that table. But at times I feel like we have reeled her in.”
Says Abdul: “We are one funny, dysfunctional family. There’s nothing but love.”
Would Moore be lesser?
Mandy Moore isn’t among those who criticize “American Idol” contestants for wanting instant stardom.
“I think they work so hard overcoming all of these obstacles just to get on the show in the first place, and then every week they’re judged in front of all of America,” says Moore, 22, who plays a singer with diva-like aspirations in the new movie “American Dreamz.”
“I give them complete credit for getting up on stage. I think I would crumble under that kind of pressure, so, no, I think they deserve all the success that they get.”
