Cubs 3, Marlins 1: At Chicago, Dontrelle Willis lost for the first time in April, with rookie Sean Marshall pitching seven scoreless innings on a cold night to lead the Cubs over Florida. Willis had been 9-0 with a 2.20 ERA in 14 career April starts.

Brewers 4, Braves 2: At Milwaukee, Prince Fielder singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning to lift the Brewers over Atlanta.

Reds 6, Nationals 5: At Washington, Edwin Encarnacion drove in four runs to power Cincinnati past the Nationals.

Rockies 7, Phillies 6: At Philadelphia, Clint Barmes homered and drove in two runs to lead Colorado over the Phillies.

Cardinals 6, Pirates 3: At St. Louis, Juan Encarnacion drove in four runs to help the Cardinals beat Pittsburgh.

Mets 4, Giants 1: At San Francisco, Xavier Nady hit a tiebreaking solo home run leading off the seventh to propel New York past the Giants. Barry Bonds hit his 710th career homer – a solo shot in the third.

Diamondbacks 7, Padres 0: At San Diego, rookie Conor Jackson drove in four runs to lead Arizona over the Padres.

Astros 4, Dodgers 3 (14): At Houston, Preston Wilson drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly as the Astros edged L.A.
