SEATTLE – A woman who admitted stabbing a 17-year-old Seattle girl has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Kialani Brown pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Lashonda Flynn in November 2003.

Brown said she was coerced into stabbing Flynn by Demar Rhome, who was convicted of first-degree murder last month and sentenced to 31 years in prison.

Flynn had been living with Rhome, 22, when he met Kialani Brown, then a 17-year-old new mother from Vancouver, Wash., on a telephone chat line and invited her to Seattle.

Prosecutors said that Rhome persuaded convinced Brown to kill Flynn while he watched. The two left Flynn’s body in Discovery Park.

In King County Superior Court on Friday, Brown told Judge Douglass North that Rhome convinced her Flynn was going to kill her and take her baby.
