Spring choral concert planned

The North Idaho College Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers will present their spring choral concert at 2 p.m. Sunday in Boswell Hall Schuler Auditorium. The “Spring Choral Extravaganza” will feature the music of Mozart in celebration of his 250th birthday.

Other concert highlights will include gospel songs as well as traditional Renaissance madrigals. The choirs will sing “Gloria” from Mozart’s “Missa Solemnis” as well as “Giovani Lieti” from Mozart’s opera “Le Nozze di Figaro.”

The choirs also will sing spiritual songs such as “Ain’t That Good News” by William Dawson and “Wade in the Water” by Jester Hairston.

The concert is free and open to the public.
