“Inland Empire League: Jenna DeLong threw a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead Coeur d’Alene to a 6-0 victory over visiting Lewiston to open a doubleheader. Jordan Corbey and Heather Helmhout each had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI to lead the Vikings. DeLong led CdA (8-1) with her bat in the nightcap, hitting a bases-loaded double down the left-field line en route to a 3-0 win and the IEL lead. Helmhout held the Bengals (1-6) to just one hit.
“Greater Spokane League: Shadle Park sophomore Sam Skillingstad threw her eighth career no-hitter, striking out 15, in a 9-0 victory over host Mt. Spokane (8-5, 8-5). Kinzee Powell had two hits and two RBIs for the Highlanders (13-0, 12-0), who allowed just one baserunner on an error. … Kelsie Vallies had two hits and two runs, and she also threw a one-hitter to lead North Central (8-4, 8-4) to a 5-1 victory over host Lewis and Clark (1-12, 1-12) at Hart Field. Vallies finished with six strikeouts. … Riki Schiermeister hit a home run on the first pitch of the game, then added a grand slam in the fifth as University routed host Gonzaga Prep (5-8, 5-8) 11-1 in five innings. Demar Love held CdA (4-4) to three hits in a complete-game performance in the second game, adding four strikeouts and four walks.
“Intermountain League: Priest River (2-0) stayed undefeated in IML play with a 7-5 victory over host Timberlake in Spirit Lake. Bryan Anderson had two hits and two RBIs for the Tigers (0-3).

Timberlake won both the 3,200 meters and coed relays to hold off second-place Newport at the eight-team boys Lakeland Relays in Rathdrum. The Tigers finished with seven event wins and 109 points, defeating the Grizzlies by 10. … The host Hawks won five events, including the 400 and weight-person relays late, to win the girls meet with 114 points. Bonners Ferry, also with five wins, placed second with 94.
