Idaho’s men’s basketball team added a recruit and an assistant coach Thursday.

Michael Crowell will join the Vandals in the fall as a junior transfer from Central Arizona College. The 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward from Mesa, Ariz., was a second-team All-Region I selection this year.

Brian Hancock joins Idaho as an assistant coach from Northern Colorado. Prior to that, he held positions at Barton County (Kan.) CC, College of Southern Idaho, Washington State and North Idaho College.

Hancock, originally from Coeur d’Alene, is an Idaho graduate and was an assistant for the Vandals in 1996-97.
