City OKs work on Freya

City Council members Monday approved a $2.25 million contract with Spokane Rock Products Inc. to rebuild and repave Freya Street from Hartson to 37th avenues under a bond issue approved by voters in 2004.

The council also approved the final assessment roll for street improvements to 27th Avenue from Cuba to Havana streets and to Cuba Street from 27th to 28th avenues.

The project cost $179,000.
