Clayton Mortensen and Brandon Harmon combined on a four-hitter, and Gonzaga topped Saint Mary’s (18-16, 5-4) 3-2 Monday in the finale of a rain-delayed West Coast Conference baseball series in Moraga, Calif.

The Bulldogs (23-14, 5-4) jumped ahead early on Will Ayala’s sacrifice fly in the second inning, and Ryan Weigand knocked a two-run single in the fifth inning.

Mortensen retired the first 10 batters he faced and allowed two runs through five. Harmon gave up two hits in four innings of relief and earned his first save of the season.

•Washington pitcher Tim Lincecum was named a national player of the week by the Collegiate Baseball newspaper for the fifth time in 10 weeks. Lincecum (8-2) extended his streak of scoreless innings to 34 last week, and leads the nation with 123 strikeouts.
