The Spokane Valley office of Windermere Real Estate has hired Brad Murray as a sales associate. He previously worked in display advertising at the Journal of Business.

Ray Fisk has been hired as a sales associate at Tomlinson Black Valley.

Exit Real Estate-Jones & Associates has hired Rae Ann Scott as an agent. She has been in the construction and real estate business for 21 years.

Keri Hutchins has been hired at Kootenai Electric Cooperative as human resources manager. She previously worked as director of human resources at West Corp. and holds a bachelor’s degree in general management and human resources management from Eastern Washington University.

The Spokane Valley office of Windermere Real Estate has hired Michael Chisum as a sales associate. He previously worked as a sales associate at Tomlinson Black Valley.

Kelly Pankey has been hired as a sales associate in the City Group office of Windermere Real Estate. She previously worked as a sales associate at Coldwell Banker Northwest Group South.

The Davenport Hotel has hired Jeffery Higens as sales manager. He previously worked as a group sales executive and operations manager at Sun Valley Resort in Idaho and is a graduate of Washington State University.

Karen Seitz has been hired by Foundation Northwest as coordinator, community programs and program officer for Adams, Lincoln, Ferry, Stevens and Pend Oreille counties in Washington and Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai, Shoshone and Benewah counties in Idaho.

The Spokane office of Ewing Anderson has hired Delian Deltchev as an associate attorney. He graduated from Gonzaga University Law School summa cum laude in 2005 and will focus on civil litigation, business law, landlord-tenant and personal injury law.

John Ferrin has been hired as a Realtor at Tomlinson Black Valley.

BDO Seidman has hired Tyler Phillips as an assurance associate. Philips recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from Washington State University.

D.A. Davidson & Co. has promoted Clarke Henley to vice president, financial consultant.

Eric Allen, a senior vice president and financial consultant at D.A. Davidson & Co., has been named to the company’s Chairman’s Council for his exceptional performance and client service.

Shawn Rogerson has received the 2005 Allstate Key Manager award. Rogerson is a market distribution leader for Allstate Insurance Co.’s Northwest Region.

Dean Dinnison has been awarded the Golden Deeds award for the Exchange Club of Downtown Spokane.

Dr. Marty Becker has been honored at the Global Pet Expo for outstanding journalism and outstanding contributions to the pet industry. Becker is a veterinarian in Bonners Ferry and a syndicated columnist who appears regularly in The Spokesman-Review.

The American Public Works Association has named Roger Flint one of the “Top Ten National Public Works Leaders of the Year.” Flint is the division director of public works and utilities for the City of Spokane.

Spartan Chassis has awarded Bob Bell and General Fire Apparatus the “Top Dealer Partner” award. Bell is a dealer principle for the company.

APPOINTED/ELECTED

Dana Divine has been elected president of the Inland Northwest Business Travel Association. She works as sales manager at the Davenport Hotel, and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.

United Way of Spokane County has elected the following to their second three-year terms on its board of directors: Mary Giannini of Witherspoon, Kelley, Davenport and Toole; Alexander Kaprian of the Department of Social and Health Services; Yvonne Lopez-Morten of Spokane Public Schools; and Lisa White of Spokane Public Schools.

The Avista Foundation has named recipients of its first-quarter grants for 2006. The nonprofit organizations are: Anna Ogden Hall, $2,000; Community Colleges of Spokane, $3,000; Community Health Center in Medford, Ore., $1,000; Dr. Frank R. Burroughs Home and Depot Museum in Ritzville, $2,000; Families in Partnership Inc. in Libby, Mont., $2,000; FISH of Roseburg in Roseburg, Ore., $2,000; Idaho Community Action Network in Boise, $2,500; Our Place Community Ministries, $1,000; Spokane Valley Arts Council, $2,500.

Gonzaga University has received a $100,000 grant from the William Hearst Foundation to endow a scholarship program for Native American and Hispanic students.
