Greater Spokane League: Shannon Carlon‘s RBI single scored Cari Landkammer for the winning run in Rogers’ 8-7 win at Cheney in 10 innings Thursday. Marion Muhammad had three hits and scored a run for the Pirates (7-2), and Haley Pitts went 4 for 4 with three RBIs to pace the Blackhawks (2-7). … Courtney McKeehan allowed one run, struck out eight and chipped in two hits as Clarkston notched a 4-1 victory over visiting North Central (7-2). Tara Ruark went 2 for 2 with two RBIs for the Bantams (6-2). … Haley Urgeleit didn’t allow a run after the first inning, and Lewis and Clark (1-8) topped visiting Gonzaga Prep (3-7) 7-3 at Hart Field for its first win. Krissi Amicarella knocked in the go-ahead run with a fifth-inning double to spark the Tigers’ four-run inning. Taylor Bemis chipped in two hits and two RBIs for LC. … Sam Skillingstad gave up one run on two hits to lead Shadle Park to a 10-1 win over host Central Valley (5-3). Skillingstad’s 14 strikeouts brought her total to 29 in her last 12 innings. Danielle Lynn chipped in three hits and scored two runs for the Highlanders (9-0). … Erin Norris went 3 for 5 with two home runs and six RBIs as Mead cruised to a 19-7 win at East Valley (2-7). Stephanie Parker added two hits and three RBIs for the Panthers (4-5). … Angel Urann’s two-run triple in the first was all Mt. Spokane needed in a 12-1 romp of host Ferris (1-9) in six innings. Megan Bowman recorded 10 strikeouts and picked up her first win for the Wildcats (5-3). Kori Holcomb went 3 for 3 and scored two runs for Mt. Spokane.

Inland Empire League: Amanda Krier went 4 for 4 and scored a run to lead Lake City to a 4-1 win over host Lakeland (1-4) at Rathdrum. Richelle Fenenbock knocked a solo home run in the first inning for the Timberwolves (5-1). … Heather Helmhout pitched a perfect game through three innings, and allowed one run and struck out 10 as Coeur d’Alene rolled to a 24-1 win over visiting Sandpoint (1-6) in five innings. Helmhout also had three hits, and 12 players collected at least one hit for the Vikings (4-2).

Boys soccer

Greater Spokane League: Gonzaga Prep needed all five players to score in the shootout as the Bullpups (2-7, 1-7) edged host University (3-6, 3-5) 2-1.

Great Northern League: Evan McCain scored the game-winning goal in the 66th minute to push Pullman to a 3-2 win over visiting Riverside (5-2, 4-2). Mingfei Wang scored two first-half goals for the Greyhounds (8-0, 6-0). … Drew Brittain scored the first of Lakeside’s three goals in an 8-minute stretch of the second half off a header, and the Eagles (5-3, 3-2) won 3-2 at Medical Lake (2-8, 2-5). … Kevin McNeil, Andrew Araujo and Jesse Flugel all scored once, and Deer Park (5-4, 5-2) defeated Colville (2-7, 1-5) 3-0 at Deer Park.

Inland Empire League: Cory Kreigbaum collected two hits, an RBI and two runs scored, and Lake City (4-1) jumped to a 7-1 lead en route to an 8-4 win over host Lakeland at Rathdrum. Scott Carr had two hits and scored two runs for Lakeland (0-2). … Andy Seaman went 2 for 2 with four RBIs and Brock Douglas chipped in two hits and three RBIs as Coeur d’Alene cruised to a 13-3 win over visiting Sandpoint (3-4) in six innings. Alex Reyes gave up three runs in five innings to get the win for the Vikings (4-2).
