KEC disperses Round Up funds

Kootenai Electric Cooperative recently donated $18,193 in Operation Round Up Funds to area projects and individuals. The funding comes from KEC’s practice of rounding up to the nearest dollar the amount of the monthly bill of KEC members with grants being disbursed quarterly.

Recipients and their projects are listed.

KEC member an FM system and accessories for 3-year-old who has cochlear implants.

Pleasantview Community Association – help rebuild the Pleasantview School’s auditorium stage.

Service Idaho – scholarships to annual Service Idaho Conference on Service, Volunteerism and Nonprofit Management.

Athol Elementary – buy Big Keys keyboards and BIGtrack rollerball PC mice for special-needs and challenged students.

Hayden Meadows Elementary – industrial greenhouse project.

Post Falls Senior Center – food storage and refrigeration repair and maintenance.

Girl Scouts Inland Empire Council’s Camp Four Echos buy 150 new mattresses and 25 new mattress covers.

Athol-Bayview Citizens on Patrol Program – two police radio units, batteries and accessories.

Twinlow Camp and Retreat Center – build handicap accessible ramps.

Holy Family Catholic School – teaching materials.
