Kudos to Redmon, Tigers

The Spokesman-Review

I would like to congratulate Jim Redmon’s Lewis and Clark girls basketball team for bringing back a state championship to Spokane. It was a total team effort and continues a great era for Spokane basketball.

A lot of credit needs to go to Redmon and his staff. The last several years he repeatedly had tough teams. He obviously had a lot of talent, but he knows how to run a team. He routinely has a deep bench and gets a lot of players into each game.

Year in and year out, you will always notice a significant numbers of seniors and juniors on his roster. It’s always a good sign when you have upperclassmen in the program. When kids continue and you keep your athletes coming back, it indicates the program and coaching is solid.

I must also extend congratulations to the other 4A teams who also did Eastern Washington proud: Central Valley’s boys, Ferris’ boys and University’s girls.
