Excitement is watching Zags basketball

The Spokesman-Review

The letter from the man in California (March 26, “Few the problem”) saying it’s time for coach Mark Few to leave knows nothing about Spokane and Gonzaga basketball!

I was one of the lucky ones to go to Oakland and experience the magic of March Madness. Yes it was heartbreaking to watch the end of the game, but not because of the loss. It was knowing we will never capture the magic of watching Adam, J.P. and Erroll play together again.

It is because we have Few and his staff that we in Spokane know the future of Gonzaga basketball is bright.

As to the person who wrote that Adam Morrison should stay because of sending a positive message about education (March 26, “Morrison should stay”), I think Adam has sent plenty of positive messages for our young people.

Selfishly, nothing would be more exciting than to get to watch him play at Gonzaga again. But that’s up to Adam and his family. It has been such a delight to share in his successes. How he’s handled himself and all he has accomplished has made us all proud.
