Crafts fair today at Nazarene church

It’s mission weekend at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene. Today the church will host a crafts fair to raise money for a mission trip to Mexico. The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the church, 15515 E. 20th Ave. Admission is free.

On Sunday the church will host guest speaker Louie Bustle, the director of the Nazarene World Missions Department. The department oversees all the Nazarene mission work outside the United States and Canada. Bustle will speak during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. worship services Sunday.

Law and religion

St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church will host a discussion on law and religion with James Vache, a professor at Gonzaga University School of Law. The event will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 503 N. Walnut Road. There is no charge and all are welcome.

Rummage sale

Hope Lutheran Church will host its annual rummage sale Friday and next Saturday. Everything from tools to clothing will be available. Sale hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Saturday. The church is at 17909 E. Broadway Ave..
