Blue Jays 4, Twins 0: At Toronto, Roy Halladay pitched a two-hitter for his second shutout of the season, leading Toronto to a victory over Minnesota. Halladay allowed only a bunt single to Nick Punto in the first and an infield single to Shannon Stewart in the fifth.

Indians 6, Athletics 2: At Cleveland, Jake Westbrook pitched seven strong innings, and Victor Martinez homered as Cleveland completed a three-game sweep and extended Oakland’s losing streak to eight.

Tigers 8, Orioles 6: At Baltimore, Craig Monroe’s third homer in three games highlighted a six-run seventh, and Detroit rallied from a five-run deficit to sweep Baltimore.

Rangers 12, White Sox 4: At Arlington, Texas, Kevin Mench hit a three-run homer as part of a six-run sixth inning, and Texas stretched the major league’s longest active winning streak to eight games by beating Chicago.

Angels 7, Royals 6: At Anaheim, Calif., Steve Finley and Jose Molina drove in three runs each with two-out, extra-base hits, and Los Angeles completed a three-game sweep of Kansas City.

Red Sox 7, Yankees 2: At New York, David Wells pitched into the ninth inning and David Ortiz hit two long home runs to lead Boston over New York. The Red Sox piled up 14 hits against Mike Mussina and three relievers.

Marlins 6, Mets 3: At Miami, Carlos Delgado hit a three-run homer, and Josh Beckett allowed four hits over seven innings as Florida beat New York to avoid a four-game sweep.

Reds 11, Pirates 2: At Cincinnati, Ken Griffey Jr. and Jason LaRue homered during Cincinnati’s six-run second and the Reds earned a split of the four-game series with Pittsburgh. Griffey drove in a season-high five runs.

Braves 7, Phillies 2: At Atlanta, Ryan Langerhans hit a two-run triple in Atlanta’s three-run fifth as the Braves averted a three-game sweep with a win over Philadelphia.

Astros 2, Brewers 1: At Milwaukee, Andy Pettitte pitched six shutout innings and Houston won a road series for the first time this year by defeating Milwaukee.

Nationals 3, Cardinals 2: At St. Louis, Livan Hernandez wrapped up the first five-victory month of his career to become the N.L.’s second eight-game winner, and Brad Wilkerson had three doubles as Washington edged the Cardinals.

Cubs 11, Rockies 6: At Chicago, Aramis Ramirez had three hits, including a homer, and four RBIs, and Derrek Lee went 3 for 4 to lead Chicago over Colorado.

Padres 9, Giants 6: At San Francisco, Damian Jackson hit a tiebreaking, two-run single in the ninth, and San Diego beat the Giants to complete its first three-game sweep at SBC Park.

Dodgers 6, Diamondbacks 3: At Phoenix, Jeff Weaver earned his first win in four starts and Los Angeles won a series for the first time in three weeks by beating Arizona.
