Agents seize cocaine from rig at border
OROVILLE, Wash. – A British Columbia man has been arrested and faces a drug charge after U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents seized about 185 pounds of cocaine – valued at $1.7 million – from his tractor-trailer rig.
Scott Bradley McIntyre, 45, of Kamloops, B.C., has been charged in U.S. District Court in Spokane with one count of possession with intent to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine.
According to Customs agents, the cocaine was found while the Canada-bound truck was being searched last Thursday at the Oroville border crossing along U.S. 97 in north-central Washington.
