WV board to interview 4
The West Valley School District has selected four internal candidates to interview for the position of assistant superintendent.
The job was left vacant by Polly Crowley, who was hired as the district’s superintendent in February.
The candidates include Gene Sementi, the principal at West Valley High School; Tom Moore, director of the West Valley Outdoor Learning Center; Dirk Linton, a teacher at the high school; and Connie Kliewer, a district school psychologist.
The candidates are not required to have superintendent credentials but do have to be certified educators in Washington State, said Sue Shields, district spokeswoman.
The interview process will begin Monday.
A final decision will have to go before the school board, Shields said.
