O’Neal’s injury may be serious

Jermaine O’Neal’s right shoulder injury may be worse than the Indiana Pacers originally thought, coach Rick Carlisle.

O’Neal, among the NBA leaders in scoring with a career-high average of 25.1 points, was hurt at Denver last week and missed his fourth consecutive game.

“We’re still gathering information,” Carlisle said of the shoulder injury, originally diagnosed as a subluxated sprain. “We’ll know more probably tomorrow or the next day.”
