Spokane Indians Baseball mascot appearances – Otto, the Spokane Indians’ mascot, will make appearances at the following Supercuts stores this summer: Thursday, 3-4 p.m., 922 N. Division; Aug. 15, 4-5 p.m., 3325 W. Indian Trail Road; and Aug. 24, 5-6 p.m., 9205 N. Newport Highway; 326-1891.
Public meetings on pools – The Spokane Park Board’s Aquatics Citizens Advisory Committee has scheduled several public hearings looking for input on the future of Spokane’s pools. Meetings will be held Thursday, 7 p.m. at the Southside Senior Center, 3151 E. 27th; Aug. 3, 7 p.m. at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt; and Aug. 4, 7 p.m. at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook. 363-5458.
Community Summit on Citizen Diplomacy – Friday, 2-5 p.m., downtown DoubleTree Hotel, being held in conjunction with the National Sister Cities Conference. Visitors from around the globe will be at the conference and the summit. Seating is limited and registration is advised; 465-5971.
Audubon Neighborhood Picnic – Saturday, 4-7 p.m., Audubon Park on Northwest Boulevard. Games for children, free hot dogs and music. Sponsored by COPS Northwest, COPS West and COPS North Central; 625-3336.
Scottish Picnic Association Reunion – Saturday, noon-6 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene City Park. The public is welcome at this reunion celebrating the parent organization of St. Andrew’s Society and the Angus Scott Pipe Band. Bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. 922-3661.
Theater Warehouse Sale – Christian Youth Theater has cleaned out its closets and will sell costumes, sets and props Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at 1027 E. Marietta. CYT families will be selling items as well. Proceeds will go back to CYT. 487-6540.
Youth concert – next Sunday, 6:30 p.m. at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines Road. Stellar Kart, Meter 12, Catalyst and the Oneighty Band will perform. Cost is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. 924-9750.
Fun in the Sun – Edgecliff SCOPE will host its annual Fun in the Sun arts and crafts fair Aug. 6 in Edgecliff Park, Eighth and Park, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. There will also be live music, food and a car show.
