Lavender sales will benefit Children’s Miracle Network

Come enjoy fresh summer air and pick a fresh bundle of lavender to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at the annual “Summer Event of the Senses Lavender U-pick” event at Leisure Lavender Farm.

A portion of today’s sales from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be donated to CMN, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping hospitalized children.

Leisure Lavender Farm is a small family-owned farm in Otis Orchards.

Sale for Cub Scouts

“The Exchange – Tots to Teens” consignment sale will be July 30 at Garwood Elementary School, Rathdrum, Idaho.

Proceeds will benefit Cub Scout Pack 225.

The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include furniture, clothing and numerous children’s items.

Golf for kids

The first Public Employees Golf Tournament will be July 30.

The sports benefit for the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery will take place at the Fairways Golf Club.

The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery is a nonprofit group dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect by offering emergency child care, support, education classes, phone counseling and referrals for other community resources.
