Service for Dylan today

A public memorial service for Dylan Groene is scheduled for 1 p.m. today in Building 2 of Real Life Ministries, 1866 Cecil Rd., Post Falls.

Dylan was born July 16, 1995, and his remains were found July 4 at a remote campsite in Montana, seven weeks after the bodies of his mother, her boyfriend and Dylan’s brother were found in their home east of Coeur d’Alene.

A memorial service for Brenda Groene, 40, and Slade Groene, 13, was held May 25, also at Real Life Ministries. The memorial service for Mark McKenzie, 37, was private, and his ashes were spread in a family ceremony July 3.

The accused killer, Joseph E. Duncan III, is being held without bail at the Kootenai County Jail.
