Looking back Bighorn Show in 1962
Trophy measuring event
In 1962, the Bighorn Show was a single-evening event of trophy measuring. Pictured here at the Spokane County Fairgrounds was Donald L. Hopkins, world renowed game hunter; Frank Duval, president of the Inland Empire Big Game Council; and Walter J. Knopp, taxidermist and member of the council. Hopkins and Knopp served as official Boone and Crockett measurers. Duval convinced council members to move the event to the fairgrounds that year. The event is a major outdoor sports show today.
