Street fair Sunday at First Nazarene

First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., is presenting its second annual Old Fashioned Community Street Fair on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. in the church parking lot.

The afternoon will include puppies from SpokAnimal C.A.R.E.; the Washington State Patrol’s drug dog, Pickles; craft booths; a Spokane Fire Department ladder truck; McGruff the Crime Dog; and hot dogs from the Weinermobile.

Along with the activities, everyone will have a chance to donate food for the Second Harvest Food Bank, general household items at the Goodwill truck, and blood at the Inland Northwest Blood Bank van.

There will also be information booths about career and volunteer opportunities at the FBI, Spokane Fire Department, Civil Air Patrol, Teen Challenge, Spokane Humane Society and other charitable organizations.

Outdoor concerts

• In celebration of 125 years of worship, Moran United Methodist Church is presenting a free concert at the corner of 65th Avenue and Freya today from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Entertainment will be provided by comedian Ed Antak, Bonnie’s Line Dancers and the Krasselt Family Singers. The evening will also include a pie social at intermission.

The concert will be in the park, so bring your own blankets and chairs.

• The New Vision Free Lutheran Church is presenting Two for Life, a musical duo from Sioux Falls, S.D., Sunday at 11 a.m. at the south gazebo of Mission Park, 1200 E. Mission Ave.

Jay and Jodi Marcum will play a variety of musical styles featuring saxophone, piano and vocals. The pair have been performing at churches throughout the United States and Canada.

Sacred rubble sale

The Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., is hosting “Sacred Rubble: Unloaded” today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The sale is an opportunity for church members to donate items that customers can take for free. Crosswalk, the Spokane Humane Society and the Martin Luther King Jr. Center will be on hand to accept donations for the items taken.

Visitors to the sale can also bring items they would like to donate.

Worship in the park

Opportunity Christian Church, 708 N. Pines Road, is not celebrating worship inside the church on Sunday. Instead, the congregation will meet and worship at 9:45 a.m. at Mirabeau Park.

After the service, a picnic lunch will be served. Everyone attending should bring a salad or dessert. Hamburgers, hot dogs, plates, cups and plastic ware will be provided.

Free movie

The Spokane Friends Church, 1612 W. Dalke Ave., is presenting a free movie on the church lawn today at 7 p.m.

The movie will be family-friendly and everyone should bring chairs and blankets.

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 3307 W. Rowan Ave., is presenting a giant yard sale today at 9 a.m.

The sale will offer hundreds of items, including collectables. The proceeds will benefit the church’s ministries.

Spokane Christian Singles is hosting speed dating for those in their 20s, 30s and 40s today at 7 p.m. at 416 S. Neyland, Liberty Lake.
