Coming Sunday The Spokesman-Review

Tomorrow along Government Way, Bloomsday runners and walkers will have a chance to see a transformation: Construction of a 175-home community began this year at the long-planned River Run subdivision.

The timing couldn’t be better. Spokane’s hot real estate market and buyers’ demand for waterfront lots have driven prices up from estimates projected two years ago.

“We’ve got a list of names a mile long,” Realtor Jack Couch said of the people interested in riverfront lots. “We’re selling a house about every two to three days. It’s just been crazy. If I had 500 river lots down here, I could sell them.”
