WHL playoffs each tied at 1-1
Nigel Dawes had a goal and two assists to lead the Kootenay Ice to a 3-2 win over the Kelowna Rockets in the second game of the WHL Western Conference final in Cranbrook, B.C.
The best-of-seven series is tied 1 game apiece.
Adam Cracknell and Ryan Russell had the other goals for Kootenay. Shea Weber and Justin Keller scored for Kelowna.
Meanwhile, in Brandon, Manitoba, Rick Kozak scored 28 seconds into the game as the Prince Albert Raiders earned a 3-2 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings.
The Raiders tied the best-of-seven Eastern Conference final 1-1.
Mike Hellyer and Dane Byers also scored for the Raiders.
