Monday’s Huckleberries column used information from the Hauser Times in which the editor said her newsletter had been thrown away by the Coeur d’Alene post office. However, Postmaster Philip Kuntz said his office never received the mailing. He said he’d continue to check to see where the error had occurred.

Dallaire was Canadian general

An Associated Press story in Sunday’s newspaper incorrectly referred to retired Gen. Romeo Dallaire as an American officer. Dallaire, who spoke at the Borah Symposium in Moscow on Monday, was a Canadian general leading a United Nations mission in Rwanda.

Candidate from Hattiesburg, Miss.

Rick James is a City Council candidate in Hattiesburg, Miss. Because of an editing error, the location was misidentified in the People column in the April 13 IN Life section.

Conductor yet to be announced

Because of a reporter’s error, the conductor for the Nov. 12 performance of the “Lord of the Rings Symphony” at Spokane Arena was misidentified in a correction Saturday. The conductor has yet to be announced.
