Open house will offer gardening advice

WSU/Spokane County Master Gardeners are celebrating the coming of spring with their annual Spring Open House. Residents of the Inland Northwest are invited to enjoy this free event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It takes place at the County Extension Education Center, 222 N. Havana St. Master Gardener volunteers will staff the Plant Clinic and Resource Center to help with plant problems and garden questions.

Attendees can browse through books and displays in the Resource Center. Publications will also be available for purchase. Downstairs there will be gardening demonstrations and displays on topics such as organic gardening, plant propagation, newest and best drought-tolerant plants, garden photography. There is a special activities room for kids.
