Donna Marty
San Leon, Texas
Graveside service for Donna Katherine Marty, 73, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Marty, who was born in Spirit Lake, Idaho, died Sept. 3.
She finished her schooling in Los Angeles and then moved to Houston, Texas, with her husband, William Curb. This marriage later ended.
She worked for Texas Instruments Co. in Houston and later in Austin, Texas, where she lived for six years.
She returned to the Coeur d’Alene area in 1979 to be near family and worked at Itron Industries in Coeur d’Alene and later Spokane, retiring in 1994.
She moved back to Houston in 1995.
She enjoyed camping on the Frio River in Texas, traveling, water recreation and the outdoors.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley and Roy Curb; her friend and companion, Bob Suess; a sister, Norma Chance; her ex-husband, William Curb; four grandchildren two great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Bill Bloxom
Sandpoint
Private inurnment for Bill D. Bloxom, 70, will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint. Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bloxom, who was born in Fullerton, Neb., died Friday.
He moved to Sandpoint with his family in 1936 and graduated from high school there in 1953.
Mr. Bloxom was a standout high school athlete and played semiprofessional baseball in Sandpoint in 1955 and 1956.
He married Dorothy Barber in 1954 and worked at various jobs in the Sandpoint area, including logging.
He then worked for the railroad for 30 years and retired in 1996 as a conductor/brakeman for Union Pacific.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and sports and was a fan of the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy; five children, Debby Neely, Donna Berger, Julie Nye and Joe Bloxom, all of Sandpoint, and Gary Bloxom of Portland; three siblings, Pat Rogers of Sandpoint, and Jack and Tom Bloxom, both of Coeur d’Alene; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Maynard ‘Buck’ Buck
Post Falls
Vigil service for Maynard Thomas Buck, 69, will be today at 7 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Memorial Mass will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church in Post Falls with burial of the urn at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
Mr. Buck, who was born in Grand Forks, N.D., died Friday.
He grew up in Badger, Minn., as the second oldest of five brothers and five sisters and moved to Wentworth, Wis., in 1949.
In the early 1960s Mr. Buck settled in Southern California , where he met and married his wife, Joyce Grimes.
His love of cars and mechanics led him to become a truck driver and later a mechanic.
Mr. Buck settled in Post Falls with his family in 1981.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joyce; 10 children; and 17 grandchildren.
Debra (Cuff) Mueller
Stanwood, Wash.
Memorial service for Debra Gayle (Cuff) Mueller, 51, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, with a reception at the Yates Hayden Chapel Gathering Center. Burial will be at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Mueller, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Sept. 10.
She grew up in Hayden and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1971 and attended North Idaho College.
She then moved to Spokane and married David Mueller.
After her marriage ended, she moved to Seattle and worked for Allstate Insurance.
She lived in Stanwood, Wash., and had been a health care worker.
She had a great love for cats.
Survivors include her mother, Irene Cuff, and a brother, Gary Cuff, both of Hayden; and a sister, Connie Cuff of Stanwood.

Shane Nelson
Coeur d’Alene
Service for Shane Wesley Nelson, 18, will be today at 2 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.
Mr. Nelson, who was born in Everett, died Friday.
He grew up and attended school in Marysville, Wash., and moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1999.
Mr. Nelson worked at Jiffi Lube in Coeur d’Alene.
He enjoyed cooking, sports and the outdoors.
Survivors include his parents, Douglas and Monica Nelson, and a brother, Ben Nelson, all of East Wenatchee; his grandparents, Jack and Hilary Walker, and Wes and Virginia Nelson, all of Marysville; and great-grandmother, Tilly Turner of Marysville.

Janet Karlsson
Sandpoint
Service for Janet M. (Harmon) Roberts Karlsson, 72, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Karlsson died Thursday.
Born in Spokane, she graduated from Central Valley High School, then married Clyde Roberts. They raised four sons in the Spokane Valley and later divorced.
She married Sigvard Karlsson in 1984 in Alaska, and the couple made their home in the Spokane Valley. They later moved to Sandpoint.
Mrs. Karlsson assisted her husband in managing rentals and his contracting business.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, yard work, gardening, swimming, country drives and traveling.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Bruce and Dean, both of Spokane, Mike of Charlottesville, Va., and Greg of Loomis, Wash.; a daughter, Stephanie of Spokane; a brother Rodney Harmon of Allentown, Pa.; a sister, Pat Johnson of Bellevue, Wash.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Rev. Raymond Moody
Woodland, Wash.
Burial for Rev. Raymond W. Moody, 89, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
The Rev. Moody, who was born in Roxbury, Mass., died Sept. 2 in Woodland, Wash., his home for many years.
He graduated from Whitworth College in 1947 and from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1950.
While a student at Whitworth he served as pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Reardan, Wash. He was senior pastor of Manito Presbyterian Church from 1959 to 1975 and also served on Whitworth’s board of trustees.
The Rev. Moody was chaplain of El Katif Shrine from 1962 to 1976.
He later moved to Woodland, Wash.
Survivors include his wife, Anita; a daughter, Louise Wolsey; and one granddaughter.
Phillip Lefler Sr.
Spokane
Service for Phillip A. Lefler Sr., 70, a retired Army Reserve captain, will be today at 1 p.m. at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.
Mr. Lefler, who was born in Clarkston, died Sunday.
He attended North Central High School and graduated from Gonzaga Law School.
He served in the Army Reserves and retired after achieving the rank of captain.
He worked for Kaiser Aluminum and for the Social Security Administration as a claims representative for 20 years, retiring in 1994.
Survivors include six sons, Phillip Lefler Jr. of Mead, Joe, John, Matt and Steve, all of Spokane, and Mike of Spirit Lake, Idaho; his mother, Eva Ebert of Veradale; a brother, Edmund Lefler of Oregon; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Diana (Parkins) Brown
Spokane
Memorial service for Diana Jean (Parkins) Brown, 46, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown, who died Sunday, was born in Spokane.
She graduated from North Central High School in 1976 and worked as a meat wrapper in a meat-processing plant.
She enjoyed dancing, camping and fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Pat; three children, Colby, Melissa and Tyler; four stepchildren Eli, Tara, Melissa, and Jesse; her parents, Jack and Berma Parkins; five siblings, Linda Blust, Jackie Parkins, Karen Ann Crain, Sandy Whitehill and George Newsom; two grandchildren and numerous stepgrandchildren.
Frederick Felch
Spokane
Private service was held for Frederick F. Felch, 72. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Mr. Felch, who was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, died Saturday. He was a resident of Spokane for 48 years.
He attended schools in Bonners Ferry and obtained a GED.
In 1954 he married Laura Jones in Bonners Ferry and worked as a carpenter in the Spokane area for many years.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Carla Gould and Linda Wright, both of Spokane, and Nancy Wagner of Newport, Ore.; two sons, Frederick Felch of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Larry Felch of Spokane; one brother, two sisters, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
