Area residents graduate from military training
Several area residents have completed military training:
• Air Force 2nd Lt. Travis Passey has graduated from specialized undergraduate pilot training at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss., with silver wings and an aeronautical rating of pilot. The son of Glenn and Jean Passey of Cheney, he is a 1996 graduate of Cheney High School and a 2002 graduate of Brigham Young University.
• Air Force Airman Ryan Fitzpatrick has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is the son of Diana Haynes of Medical Lake and Joe Fitzpatrick of Cheney and is a 2004 graduate of Medical Lake High School.
• Air Force Airman 1st Class Matthew Balderree has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. A 1999 graduate of Cheney High School, he is the son of Thomas Balderree of Cheney.
•Air Force Airman Jonathan Baker has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is the son of Janet and Bill Baker of Moses Lake and is a 2000 graduate of Moses Lake High School.
• Marine Corps Lt. Col. Michael Trabun has graduated from the College of Naval Warfare in Newport, R.I. The son of Clarene Trabun of Spokane, he is a 1982 graduate of Ferris High School, a 1986 graduate of Washington State University and a 2001 graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School.
• Army Pfc. Daniel McCoy has graduated from basic military combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 1999 graduate of Mead High School and is the son of William and Margaret McCoy of Spokane.
• Army Capt. John Goldsworthy has graduated from Army Ranger School at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Bob and Genie Goldsworthy of Rosalia, Wash., and is a 1985 graduate of Rosalia High School and 1999 graduate of Washington State University.
• Air Force 2nd Lt. Benjamin Bradley has completed the Army ROTC program and graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree. He is the son of Larry Bradley of Pullman.
• Air Force 2nd Lt. Matthew Edwards has completed the Army ROTC program and graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree. A 2000 graduate of St. Michael’s Academy, he is the son of Terence and JoAnn Edwards of Spokane.
• Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Mark Aaron has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. The son of Holly Kerl of Spokane, he is a 2002 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School.
• Army Pfc. Douglas Paff has graduated from basic military infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is a 1997 graduate of Newport (Wash.) High School, and is the son of Fredrick Paff of Newport and Dianne Murray of Spokane.
• Benjamin Saad has graduated from the Army ROTC development and assessment course at Fort Lewis, Tacoma. He is the son of William and Rosalee Saad of Spokane and is a 2001 graduate of Mt. Spokane High School.
• Air Force Senior Airman Joseph Ward has graduated from Airman Leadership School at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Va. He is a 2000 graduate of Cheney High School and the son of Bruce and Linda Ward of Cheney.
• Carmela Conroy has graduated from the College of Naval Command and Staff in Newport, R.I. The daughter of Robert and Judith Conroy of Liberty Lake, she is a 1980 graduate of Central Valley High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in 1984 and a law degree in 1990 from the University of Washington.
• Joseph Quinn has graduated from the Army ROTC leaders training course at Fort Knox, Ky. The son of Richard and Patricia Quinn of Spokane, he is a 2001 graduate of North Central High School.
• Army National Guard Pvt. Elizabeth Henning has graduated from basic military combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. A 1999 graduate of Carrier Path Services, she is the daughter of Theresa Henning of Spokane.
