Man hurt as truck hits tree

A 17-year-old Cocolalla, Idaho, man was airlifted to Kootenai Medical Center after the pickup he was driving left U.S. Highway 95, went airborne and struck a tree Sunday morning.

Dennis Richard Wanous, 17, was driving a 1995 Chevy pickup southbound on U.S. 95 about five miles south of Sagle at 12:35 a.m. Sunday when his truck went off the right shoulder in an area with a 30-foot embankment, according to the Idaho State Police.
