NEW FACES

Jeff Howard has recently been hired at the Habitat for Humanity-Spokane Builders Surplus Store as the store manager. Howard previously owned and operated a nonprofit newspaper in Micronesia and owned and operated Johnny Able Lumber in Spokane.

National City Mortgage Co. has recently hired Shirley Smith-Allen as a mortgage loan officer and sales manager in the Spokane branch. Smith-Allen has been in the mortgage-banking industry since 1975 and has worked as an underwriter, branch manager and a loan officer. She attended Columbia Basin College and Western Baptist Bible College.

Colin T. Kelly has recently been hired at Hart Capital Management to work in equity and fixed income research. Kelly is a recent Gonzaga University graduate and is working to achieve his chartered financial analyst designation.

Debbie Quick has recently been hired at U-District Physical Therapy and Institute of Sports Performance as coordinator of the yoga/Pilates programs and personal training. Quick has over 14 years of teaching and personal training experience.

OfficeEnvy has recently hired Kimiyo Lincoln as a furniture systems designer. Lincoln was previously an assistant manager at Anderson & Emami and is completing her degree in commercial interior design at Spokane Falls Community College.

Blasingame Insurance has recently hired Ruthann Miller as an agent specializing in personal and commercial lines insurance. She was previously an underwriting manager for Safeco Insurance and has six years of experience in the industry. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Eastern Washington University.

Teri L. Craggett has recently been hired at Action Mortgage Company as a senior loan officer. She has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage and finance industry and was previously a senior loan officer at Major Mortgage.

Cameron Weishaar has recently been hired at Central Chiropractic. He holds a doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Spokane Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic has recently hired Dr. Alan T. Pokorny in the practice of otolaryngology/head and neck surgery. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Washington and completed his internship and residency at the University of Utah. Pokorny has recently been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Dr. Mary R. Oefelein has recently been hired at Internal Medicine Residency Spokane in the practice of internal medicine. Oefelein is a 1990 graduate of Case Western Reserve University and completed her internship and residency at McGaw Medical Center in 1993. She has also recently been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

The Spokane central office of John L. Scott Realty has recently hired Leah Ausburn as a Realtor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington and has nine years of experience in management.

Dr. David M. Munoz has recently been hired at Inland Imaging Associates in the practice of diagnostic radiology. He is a 1994 graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, completed his internship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and his residency at the University of Arizona. Munoz has recently been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Rockwood Clinic has recently hired Dr. Corliss Newman in the practice of internal medicine. She is a 1988 graduate of the University of Washington and completed her internship and residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital. Newman has been recently accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Dr. Trent A. Sanders has recently been hired at Inland Imaging Associates as a radiologist. Sanders is a 1998 graduate of the University of Oklahoma and completed his internship and residency at Sacred Heart Medical Center. Sanders has recently been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Blasingame Insurance has recently hired Liz Letson as a commercial lines account manager. She was previously an operations manager at Unitrin Multilines Insurance and holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Whitworth College.

KUDOS

WhiteRunkle of Spokane has recently been named as one of the 10 finalists for an Eyeblaster Award for excellence in online media advertising. The company was nominated out of a field of 2,500 nationwide entries; the award will be announced on Nov. 9.

Spokane Allstate Insurance agent Ryan Yohe has recently received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for volunteering in his community. The award comes with a $500 grant from the Allstate Foundation and will go to Habitat for Humanity, Spokane where he volunteers.

Rex and Barbara Reed, the owners of the Sir Speedy Center at 617 N. Fancher Rd., have recently been awarded the Century Club award for sales at the Sir Speedy International convention. This award is given to the company’s top 100 centers in the country.

GIFTS

The Spokane Valley Community Center has recently been granted $67,817 by the Seattle Foundation and $10,405 from Modern Electric Water Co. The Center is a nonprofit agency that assists low-income individuals and the funds will be used to provide energy assistance to Modern Electric and Vera Water & Power customers.

NEW NAME

Techline Studio has recently changed its name to OfficeEnvy. The name change allows the company to expand their product lines. The company’s showroom is at 202 E. Trent Ave.

W.O.W. Energy Systems has changed its name to Eco Depot. The company made the change to reflect its move towards green and sustainable building materials. The company is located at 15116 E. Sprague.

PROMOTED

Erika Donegan of Desautel Hege Communications, has recently been promoted from account coordinator to account executive. Donegan has been with the firm since May, 2002 and has worked in copywriting, design and media outreach, strategic consultation, art direction and planning.
