Orioles 14, Yankees 8: At Baltimore, Brian Roberts and Larry Bigbie had two hits apiece in an eight-run third inning, and the Orioles ended New York’s five-game winning streak. Miguel Tejada and Melvin Mora homered, and B.J. Surhoff had a season-high four RBIs for the Orioles, who have won eight of 11.

Twins 4, Tigers 1: At Detroit, Carlos Silva won for the first time in more than a month, and Jacque Jones drove in two runs to lead Minnesota past the Tigers. Silva (11-8) allowed one run and nine hits in six innings, struck out six and walked none for his first victory in seven starts since Aug. 3 against Anaheim.

Rangers 10, Blue Jays 3: At Arlington, Texas, Ryan Drese pitched seven strong innings, and Kevin Mench homered twice for Texas in its win over Toronto. Drese (12-8) allowed one run and six hits, struck out seven and walked one. Mench has homered in his last three games and has four in 10 at-bats. He extended his career-high home run total to 23.

Royals 8, Devil Rays 5: At Kansas City, Mo., Dee Brown and Desi Relaford doubled during a six-run seventh inning, and the Royals rallied from a five-run deficit to send Tampa Bay to its 12th straight loss.

Angels 7, White Sox 5: At Anaheim, Calif., Garret Anderson hit a tiebreaking two-run single in the eighth inning and Vladimir Guerrero had a three-run homer, leading the Angels to a victory over Chicago. Francisco Rodriguez was credited with the win despite allowing three runs and three hits. Troy Percival pitched a scoreless ninth for his 28th save in 33 attempts.
