NEW FACES

Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital has recently hired Dr. Sandra W. Horning as a pediatric emergency medicine specialist. She is a graduate of the Tulane University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Washington.

Dr. Randy A. Poncher has recently been hired at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital as a pediatric hospitalist. He attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

The Coeur d’Alene office of Sterling Savings Bank has recently hired Halon Bunyard as a business banker II. He has over 35 years of banking experience and previously worked as a commercial loan broker for Far West Mortgage and a loan officer for Norwest Mortgage Bank in Boise. Bunyard is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University.

Michael Metcalf has recently been hired at Harbor Financial Services as a member of the wealth transfer unit. Metcalf has 24 years of experience in the life insurance and securities industry and was previously vice president of human resources for Hospitality Associates Inc.

Farmers Insurance Group has recently hired Beth Hobaugh as an insurance agent for district manager Steve Drassen. Hobaugh has many years of sales experience.

Tori Dalebout has recently been hired as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group district manager Steve Drassen. Dalebout has many years of sales experience.

Keller Williams Realty in Spokane has recently hired Nancy VanDoren as a real estate agent. VanDoren is a newly licensed Realtor and was previously an independent interior designer.

Michael Happy has recently been hired at Keller Williams Realty as a real estate agent. Happy was previously with Re/max in Seattle and has worked as a loan officer for USA Mortgage.

Physician Anesthesia Group of Spokane has recently hired Dr. Daniel d’Hulst as an anesthesiologist. He is a 2000 graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his internship and residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in 2004. d’Hulst has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Dr. Pamela Hite has recently been hired at Inland Empire Dermatology as a dermatologist. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Arizona, completed her internship at the University of Washington in 1999 and her residency and fellowship at the University of California, Irvine in 2003. Hite has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

North Spokane Women’s Clinic has recently hired Dr. Ronald D. Hardy in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Utah and completed his internship and residency at the Memorial Hospital of South Bend in 2000. Hardy has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Dr. Walter A. Fernau III, has recently joined Rockwood Clinic in the practice of family medicine. Fernau is a 1980 graduate of the University of Washington and completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1983. He has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

The Spokane Valley office of Windermere Real Estate has recently hired Scott Bosshardt as a sales associate. He has 15 years of experience in the automotive finance and insurance industry.

The Lilac Bloomsday Run Association has recently hired Don Kardong has its race director. Kardong has been serving as the executive director of the Children’s Museum of Spokane and will remain as the board director of the museum, which will be looking for a new executive director.

PROMOTED

ALSC Architects has recently promoted Kamela Potratz to an associate. Potratz has been with the company since 1994 and has worked on such projects as the Moran Prairie branch library and Telco Credit Union’s headquarters. She earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Washington State University in 1992.

Bobbie Overhoff has recently been promoted at Sterling Savings Bank to assistant vice president. She has been with the bank since 1992 and has worked as a customer service representative, a customer service supervisor, a private banking representative and a training supervisor. She is a graduate of Washington State University.

Sterling Savings Bank has recently promoted Melody Balmes to assistant vice president. She has been with the bank since 2000 and has 13 years of sales experience. Balmes has most recently worked as the bank’s regional sales coordinator.

Edward Jones investment representative Joe Clements has recently been named a principal with the Jones Financial Co. holding company. Clements is a 1969 graduate from Fort Hays State University and served with the U.S. Navy. He has been with Edward Jones since 1987.

KUDOS

Spokane County Public Defender Carol Huneke has recently received the President’s Award from the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Huneke receive this award for her refusal to conduct a trial unprepared, citing high public defense caseloads. She is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin.

Magner Sanborn Renouard has recently won two Telly Awards. The firm received a Silver Telly Award for Washington Trust Bank’s “A Bank is Not” commercial and a Bronze Telly Award for the bank’s “Mechanical or Personal” commercial.

CIO Magazine has recently named Group Health as one of the Top 100 Agile Companies for its high level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology.

Advanced Input Systems of Coeur d’Alene has recently received the Global MVP award from GE Healthcare. The company received this award for its excellence in technology, innovation, quality, delivery, globalization and competitiveness.

MOVING ON

Peter Jackson, CEO of Foundation Northwest, has recently stepped down from his position with the nonprofit to focus on consulting and teaching. Jackson has been with Foundation Northwest for 14 years.
