SAN FRANCISCO — Tim Rattay threw two touchdown passes and got two 2-point conversions in the final 4:35, and Todd Peterson kicked a 32-yard field goal with 11:37 left in overtime of the San Francisco 49ers’ first victory of the season, 31-28 over the collapsing Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Brandon Lloyd made a diving 23-yard TD catch with 1:07 left in regulation, then wrestled the ball away from two defenders for the tying conversion.

Tight end Eric Johnson had another incredible game with career-bests of 13 catches for 162 yards and the other late TD. The 49ers (1-4) mounted their improbable rally after falling behind 28-12 on Arizona’s two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

When the Niners’ 16-point deficit freed Rattay to run a no-huddle offense, he engineered two scoring drives against the Cardinals (1-4), who hadn’t allowed an offensive touchdown in 13 quarters.

Rattay finished 38 of 57 for 417 yards.
