UNLV edges BYU
PROVO, Utah — Dominique Dorsey ran for 94 yards and a touchdown and UNLV won when Brigham Young failed to score on first-and-goal from the 10 in the final 14 seconds Friday night in the Rebels’ 24-20 victory.
BYU had three chances to score after John Beck completed a pass to Antwaun Harris at the 10, but Beck threw incomplete three straight times. The final play began with only eight-tenths of a second left, and Beck was pressured into a pass over the middle that bounced harmlessly on the grass.
UNLV (2-3, 1-1 Mountain West Conference) has beaten BYU consecutive times for the first time in the 12-game history between the two schools.
The Cougars (2-4, 1-1) were trying for their first winning streak since 2002.
