Octoberfest 2004 Presented by the Post Falls Historical Society and the Post Falls Community Volunteers at 4:30 p.m. at Q’emiln Park. Activities include raffle, oral and silent auction and beer garden. Cost: $7 adults, $5 seniors and kids under 12. “Festival Express” This new Canadian concert film features Janis Joplin, The Band and other great ‘60s acts and will be shown as part of the Global Cafe Film series at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Cost: $6 adults, $5 seniors and students. Information: 263-9191.

Service Academy Day – This information session on the nomination process for the service academies will be Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-noon, at the Kootenai County Administration Building, Rooms 1A and 1B, 451 Government Way.
