Santa at the Silver Lake Mall Bring a donation for the Children’s Miracle Network, meet at the main mall doorway by the food court at 9 a.m. and parade through the mall with Santa. The parade will stop at Santa’s chair, where there will be a light breakfast and Santa will read a book out loud for the children.

Family Day at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Sunday, children’s choirs will be performing from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; admission is $1. Children’s workshops will be set up in the Plaza Shops with holiday craft projects for 25 cents each.

“Lewis and Clark Crossing the Centuries” The Idaho Public Television-produced DVD will be shown Monday at 7 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library, followed by a demonstration of clothing and equipment used by the Corps of Discovery by local historian Robert Singletary. Information: 769-2315.

“Kennewick Man: An Epic Drama of the West” In 1996, two college students stumbled upon an anthropological find that would change the way North Americans view their past. UI Observes World AIDS Day A special quilt will go on display Tuesday in the Idaho Commons, and from 12:30-1:30 a panel of international students will discuss worldwide AIDS issues in the Commons Crest Room located on the fourth floor. Candlelight vigil is at 5:30 p.m. in the Commons Courtyard Wednesday. Festival of the Spirit opening gala beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the film, “Say Amen, Somebody” at 8 p.m. and a discussion, Thursday at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint. A season’s pass for this entire film festival can be purchased for $25, or they are $5 adults, $3 children and senior citizens.
