Cori Chambers and Tasha Humphrey each scored 18 points, leading No. 3 Georgia to a 77-55 victory over Idaho in the opening round of the Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu on Friday.

The Bulldogs (3-0) made 10 of their first 16 shots and used their size advantage and man-to-man defense to build a 22-7 lead with 13 minutes left in the opening half.

“We cluttered up against her (Humphrey) and on times we did, we didn’t do too bad with her,” Idaho coach Mike Divilbiss said. “When we didn’t, she handled us. You got to make some adjustment. You can’t let her settle deep under the basket.”

Idaho’s Emily Faurholt, who averaged an NCAA-best 25.4 points last season, missed her first eight shots and finished with 13 points on 4-for-21 shooting. Leilani Mitchell added 18.
