Frank ‘Dick’ Wagner
Deer Park
Interment for Frank Richard “Dick” Wagner, 84, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer/Kelly Cemetery in Deer Park. Memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. at the Deer Park Eagles Lodge. Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wagner, a longtime resident of Deer Park, died Saturday. He was born in Milan, Wash.
He graduated from Riverside High School in 1938 and had 12 years of perfect attendance.
He served in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific and in New Guinea as a staff sergeant.
Mr. Wagner worked for Washington Water Power in the Deer Park area for 30 years, retiring in 1982 as line crew foreman.
He was a 50-year member of Washington Water Power’s Trailblazers and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
His hobbies included keeping his yard in perfect condition as a showplace and collecting classic cars.
His wife, Mary, died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Mark Wagner of Deer Park; a daughter, Barbie Dawson of Seattle; and two granddaughters.

Marcia (Gusman) Bigelow
Spokane
Private service will be held for Marcia Joan (Gusman) Bigelow, 76. Neptune Society handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Bigelow, a resident of Spokane for more than 40 years, died Nov. 16. She was born in Lewiston.
She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1946 and from Washington State College in 1950. In 1951 she was named Miss Spokane.
Mrs. Bigelow was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, singing and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert; three sons, Mark Bigelow of Drammen, Norway, Richard Bigelow of Oakland, Calif., and Scott Bigelow of Vancouver, Wash.; a daughter, Tracey Bigelow of Oakland; two sisters, Celeste Gusman and Sarah Levitch, both of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
Dorothy Pence
Spokane Valley
No service will be held for Dorothy Fischer Pence, 93. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pence, who was born in Great Falls, died Nov. 12.
She was a schoolteacher from 1931 to 1972 in Washington and Idaho.
Her husband, Troy, died in 1995.
There are no immediate surviving family members.
Eugene Thiele
Spokane
Private service will be held for Eugene F. Thiele, 81. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thiele, a lifelong resident of Spokane, died Monday.
He served in the Army’s 75th Engineers Infantry during World War II.
Mr. Thiele was a machine operator and retired from the Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood Plant.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce; two sons, Jim and Lloyd Thiele, both of Spokane Valley; a daughter, Janice Thiele of Sagle, Idaho; a brother, Glenn Thiele of Post Falls; and one granddaughter.
Thomas ‘Snip’ Greenland
Spokane
Memorial potluck for Thomas Wayne “Snip” Greenland, 51, will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 520 S. Cook St. Spokane Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Greenland, a lifelong resident of Spokane, died Nov. 6.
He joined the Army when he was 17 and served two tours of duty in Korea and one in Vietnam. He retired from the military as a radio operator.
Survivors include three sisters, Shirley Pippenger, Nancy Christensen and Susan McDowell; and two brothers, Robert Greenland and William Cadwallader.
Wayne Knight
Spokane
Private service will be held for Wayne F. Knight, 80. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Knight, who was born in Naples, Idaho, died Friday.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Knight was a retired chef who enjoyed cooking, fishing and working in his rose gardens.
He was a member of Neighbor to Neighbor.
Survivors include a sister, Lucille Lein of Sequim, Wash.
Guty Romero
Spokane
Private service for Tech. Sgt. Guty Roger Romero, 48, will be at Fairchild Air Force Base. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Romero, a 10-year resident of the Spokane area, died Nov. 6. He was born in Costa Rica.
He was a facilities manager with the Air Force.
Survivors include a son, Jon Romero; his former wife, Ann Romero of Deep Creek, Wash.; his mother, Maria Jimenez; and three brothers, Fernando, Alan and Jhonny.
