Meet Brad Hoppie.

Occupation: Owner/optician of Optique on Sherman Avenue. He has been an optician for 20 years.

Family: Wife, Cynthia, and daughter, Grace, who is 3.

Pets: Fifi the cat, and Dorothy and Buck, the rabbits. Dorothy and Buck have burrowed a tunnel all the way under the garage, from one side to the other.

Hometown: Coeur d’Alene for just over two years. They moved here from Aspen, Colo.

What he likes best about North Idaho: The people and the climate.

Hobbies: Bicycling, oil painting and being a dad.

Favorite movie: “Gone With the Wind”

Preferences in music: Jazz and classic rock.

Favorite color: Red, sometimes blue.

Favorite food: Anything his wife cooks (she is a good cook).

What he is currently reading: “Ghost Rider - Trails on the Healing Road,” by Neil Peart.

Thanksgiving Day plans: He is spending serious quality time with Cynthia and Grace.
